It's 4:00 AM Tuesday in Korea. Yesterday we met Jonah for the first time. We didn't know what to expect, but meeting him in a small computer lab while people typed away in the background was not even on our radar. Not the private or intimate setting we imagined.

Although it was an unusual setting, it was awesome. He looks so big. And he's heavy too. We had a lot of questions for the foster mom about Jonah's: routine, likes, dislikes, how to put him to sleep, how often he eats, what he eats, how does he like to be held, etc. We can not say enough about Jonah's foster mom. She is probably the most caring, thoughtful, giving person we have ever met. It is going to be very difficult for her to say good-bye to him. Jonah's foster sister was at the meeting too and said that she would like to keep Jonah longer. We told her that wouldn't be happening.

Throughout our infertility and adoption journey we have known that God's hand was guiding everything and that he was in control. We didn't always feel His presence, but we knew it was there. God has been faithful from the beginning and He will not change. There were many days where it felt as though we were living in the dark (the darkest just last week) but now...

We will be leaving our hotel this afternoon and checking into the guest house at the adoption agency for the duration of our stay. We have all of today and tomorrow (Tuesday & Wednesday) to sight see. On Thursday we will see Jonah again.
